PIKE COUNTY SHERIFF'S TRAINING ACADEMY

In 1991, Sheriff Larry D. Travis formed the Pike County Sheriff's Training Academy.  Sheriff Travis and his instructors have trained well over 100 Officers.  These Officers are employed within Pike County as well as in surrounding counties.  The Academy certified the Officers as Ohio Peace Officers and Ohio Corrections Officers.  Sheriff Travis works closely with the Pike County Adult Basic Education in providing quality training at the low cost to the student.  The cost of the training is based on the number of students versus the cost of providing the training.  This is a non-profit Academy.

Sheriff Travis formed the Training Academy to provide local training to students who are interested in Law Enforcement.  Normally classes will begin in September and be completed by June of the next year.
Anyone interested in Law Enforcement Training Contact the Pike County Sheriff's Office for an enrollment form.
